Peapack-Gladstone Bank was established on September 21, 1921, originally operating under the name Peapack-Gladstone Bank. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes, including its classification and regulatory oversight. On February 9, 1943, it became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its status to a state-chartered bank. In the early 2000s, the bank expanded its operations, acquiring Chatham Savings, FSB in Chatham, New Jersey, on January 8, 2000. Subsequently, the main office relocated to 190 Main Street, Gladstone, New Jersey, on April 19, 1990.
