Peachtree Bank was originally established on September 19, 1919, under the name Bank of Maplesville. Over the decades, the institution underwent several name changes and structural changes. On December 6, 1991, it rebranded as Peachtree Bank. In 2006, the main office was relocated to 9411 Al Highway 22, Maplesville, Alabama. On February 28, 2014, Peachtree Bank merged with Southcrest Bank, National Association, located in Tyrone, Georgia, and subsequently changed its name to Southcrest Bank, National Association. Eventually, on August 1, 2021, Southcrest Bank further merged with Colony Bank, based in Fitzgerald, Georgia, marking the end of Peachtree Bank's identity within the banking landscape.
