Patriots Bank, originally established as The Parker State Bank in 1899, has undergone several name changes and institutional transformations throughout its history. In 1964, the bank was renamed Kansas State Bank, reflecting its growing presence in the financial sector. The main office was relocated to 413 South Oak in Garnett, Kansas, on the same date. In 1973, a further name change occurred when the institution was again renamed Kansas State Bank, coinciding with another relocation of its main office to 131 East Fourth Street in Garnett. The bank expanded its operations through acquisitions, notably acquiring the State Bank of Westphalia in 1986 and Peoples Bank of Kansas in 1993.
