History Of Patriot Bank
Patriot Bank was established in 1930 as the First National Bank in Honey Grove, Texas. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes, including withdrawing from membership in the Federal Reserve System and becoming a state-chartered bank in 1966. In 2005, the institution adopted the name Patriot Bank and relocated its main office to 7500 San Felipe Street, Houston, Texas. That same year, Patriot Bank expanded its operations by acquiring Farmers & Merchants State Bank in Ladonia, Texas. In December 2006, the bank further enhanced its portfolio by acquiring Northeast National Bank in Mesquite, Texas. On October 2, 2015, Patriot Bank merged with Green Bank, National Association, located in Houston, Texas. The bank continued to evolve and, on January 1, 2019, it became part of Veritex Community Bank, based in Dallas, Texas.
