Park National Bank is a financial institution that was established on July 8, 1908, originally named The Park National Bank of Newark in Newark, Ohio. Over the decades, the bank underwent several name changes and strategic acquisitions to expand its presence. On February 22, 1971, the bank changed its name to The Park National Bank and relocated its main office to 50 North Third Street in Newark, Ohio. The bank continued to grow through numerous acquisitions, including The Utica Savings Bank Company in 1973, The Fairfield National Bank of Lancaster in 1985, and several banks in Ohio in 2006 and 2008, such as Anderson Bank Company and First-Knox National Bank. In July 2018, it acquired NewDominion Bank in Charlotte, North Carolina, followed by Carolina Alliance Bank in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in April 2019.
