Pacific Continental Bank was established on August 15, 1972, originally operating under its founding name. The bank then relocated its main office to 1450 High Street in Eugene, Oregon, on June 1, 1986. It continued its expansion by acquiring Century Bank in Eugene, Oregon, on February 2, 2013, followed by the acquisition of Capital Pacific Bank in Portland, Oregon, on March 6, 2015. On September 7, 2016, the bank further expanded by acquiring Foundation Bank in Bellevue, Washington. On November 1, 2017, Pacific Continental Bank merged with Columbia State Bank in Tacoma, Washington. The main office was moved to 111 West Seventh Avenue in Eugene, Oregon, on July 10, 2012. Finally, on March 1, 2023, Pacific Continental Bank merged into Umpqua Bank in Roseburg, Oregon, marking the end of its operation as an independent institution.
