OSB Community Bank, originally established in 1871 as the Ottawa Federal Savings and Loan Association, has undergone various structural and regulatory changes throughout its history. In 1996, the institution changed its name to Ottawa Savings Bank and shifted its organization type to Mutual Savings Bank, adopting the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as its primary federal regulatory agency. The bank underwent several transformations in the following years, including a change in organization type to Stock Savings Bank and then to Federal Savings Bank in 2005. In 2014, OSB Community Bank acquired Twin Oaks Savings Bank located in Marseilles, Illinois.
