OneUnited Bank is a financial institution based in Boston, Massachusetts, originally established as The Boston Bank of Commerce on August 2, 1982. The bank acquired Unity Bank and Trust Company the same day, marking its initial expansion. Over the years, OneUnited Bank underwent several significant changes and acquisitions, including the relocation of its main office to various addresses in Boston. In 1990, the main office moved to 133 Federal Street, and again on August 20, 2007, to its current location at 100 Franklin Street. The bank expanded its footprint through a series of acquisitions, including Peoples National Bank of Commerce in Miami, Florida, in September 1999, and Founders National Bank in Los Angeles, California, in April 2001.
