One Florida Bank, originally established as One South Bank on October 29, 2008, underwent several changes throughout its history. On July 31, 2012, the bank transitioned to a commercial bank organization type and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), while also becoming a state-chartered bank not a member of the Federal Reserve System. Before this, from July 21, 2011, it was regulated by The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. On January 24, 2019, the institution changed its name to One Florida Bank. Subsequently, on March 25, 2019, the main office relocated to 1601 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32806, having previously been located at 1385 Main Street, Chipley, Florida 32428 since November 22, 2010.
