The institution underwent a name change to Bank of Putnam County on November 19, 1975, following the acquisition of the Bank of Cookeville on July 2, 1977. The main office was relocated to 140 South Jefferson Street in Cookeville on October 1, 1977. In subsequent years, the bank continued to expand its operations, changing its name to Bank of Putnam County on April 29, 2016, coinciding with its acquisition of Cumberland County Bank in Crossville, Tennessee. The bank further strengthened its position by acquiring Citizens First Bank in Wartburg, Tennessee, on October 12, 2019.
