History Of OmniBank
OmniBank was established in 1907 under the name Bank of Mantee in Mantee, Mississippi. Over the years, the institution underwent several name changes and expansions. In 1981, it acquired People's Bank and Trust in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The name changed to OmniBank of Mantee on July 1, 1987, coinciding with a move of its main office to Main Street in Mantee. In 1989, the bank further simplified its name to OmniBank and acquired First United Bank in Bay Springs, Mississippi. The main office was relocated again on December 6, 2012, to 531 3rd Street in Bay Springs. After a century of service, OmniBank merged and became part of Merchants and Planters Bank in Raymond, Mississippi, on May 20, 2022.
