History Of Old Florida Bank

Old Florida Bank was established on December 15, 1982, originally under the name Liberty National Bank. The institution grew through acquisitions, including the purchase of Liberty National Bank of Orlando in June 1988. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes, becoming Orlando National Bank in January 2005 and then Old Florida National Bank in May 2009. On June 30, 2014, the bank rebranded itself as Old Florida Bank and made significant regulatory changes, including withdrawing from membership in the Federal Reserve System and changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The main office relocated to 60 North Court Avenue in Orlando, Florida on April 12, 2010. Old Florida Bank continued operating until April 1, 2015, when it merged with Iberiabank based in Lafayette, Louisiana. This merger was followed by another merger on July 2, 2020, when Old Florida Bank became part of First Horizon Bank located in Memphis, Tennessee.
