Northwestern Bank, National Association, is a financial institution with a history dating back to its establishment on July 1, 1915, under the name The Northwestern State Bank of Ulen. On October 1, 1987, Northwestern Bank acquired the Clay County State Bank located in Dilworth, Minnesota, and subsequently moved its main office to 11 1st Street SW in Ulen, Minnesota. In 2002, a pivotal transformation occurred when Northwestern Bank acquired Viking Bank in Hendrum, Minnesota.
