Northwest Georgia Bank

Northwest Georgia Bank was established on August 1, 1904, originally under the name Bank of Ringgold. The institution underwent a name change to Bank of Ringgold on November 29, 1971, and subsequently moved its main office to State Highway 151 and Robin Road in Ringgold, Georgia. On March 6, 1973, the bank was renamed Northwest Georgia Bank. In the years that followed, the bank adjusted its trust powers in 2003, limiting them on July 30, and acquired The Bank of Sharon in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on January 27 of the same year. The main office was relocated to 5063 Alabama Highway in Ringgold, Georgia, on June 30, 1999. Eventually, Northwest Georgia Bank changed its name to FirstBank on June 4, 2018, following its merger with FirstBank, a financial institution based in Nashville, Tennessee, which had occurred on September 21, 2015.
