Northwest Community Bank is a financial institution based in Connecticut, originally established on July 15, 1875, as Mechanics Savings Bank of Winsted. The bank underwent several name changes over the years, becoming Northwest Bank for Savings on May 31, 1979, and later changing its name to Northwest Community Bank on January 31, 1996. In addition to the rebranding, it also acquired Winsted Savings Bank in the same year. On January 31, 2001, the bank transitioned to a stock savings bank organization type and reaffirmed its name as Northwest Community Bank.
