History Of Northstar Bank
Northstar Bank, originally established as Donie State Bank in 1919, underwent several name and structural changes throughout its history. The institution became Community State Bank in September 1992, and in June 2000, it relocated its main office in Austin, Texas. The bank's name changed to Treaty Oak Bank in May 2011, coinciding with its acquisition of Treaty Oak Bank. Following this, the bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve in October 2011. In November 2012, it adopted the name Northstar Bank of Texas and moved its main office to Denton, Texas. The bank continued its growth through acquisitions, including Community Bank in Fort Worth, Texas, in November 2014, and Northstar Bank of Colorado in October 2016. On October 8, 2016, it officially rebranded as Northstar Bank. Ultimately, on April 1, 2017, Northstar Bank merged with Independent Bank based in McKinney, Texas, marking the end of its independent operations.
