Northrim Bank is a financial institution established on December 4, 1990, originally under the name Northrim Bank. In 1995, the bank underwent significant regulatory changes by withdrawing from membership in the Federal Reserve System and changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). On May 4, 2011, the bank officially changed its name to Northrim Bank. The institution expanded its operations with the acquisition of Alaska First Bank & Trust, National Association in Anchorage, Alaska, on October 20, 2007.
