Warning - Don't Purchase A Cd From Northern Bank And Trust! I purchased a 3-year CD from this bank and assumed I'd have to pay a SMALL penalty fee should I ever need to cash it in before the CD matured. Boy was I mistaken… Less than a year later, because of unexpected house repairs, I had to cash in that $12,000 CD and was charged a HUGE early penalty withdrawal fee of $580. So, before buying a CD from this bank. Make sure that you carefully read all the fine print and don't get ripped off like I did.
