Northeast Security Bank is a financial institution based in Sumner, Iowa, established on January 1, 1888, originally under the name First State Bank. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes and structural shifts, including becoming a national bank in 1984 when it adopted the name Northeast Iowa National Bank. It was then chartered by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and became a member of the Federal Reserve System. In 1992, the institution rebranded to its current name, Northeast Security Bank, and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) while withdrawing from the Federal Reserve System.
