What a great experience to have met Mrs. Conway. We had lots of questions and concerns about how and where to put our money that worked best for us. She was caring and considerate also patient. My husband needed a special account set up for medical bills. Her professionalism was outstanding. She called a few days later to check everything was alright and did we have any more questions. We moved the rest of our family to this branch. Highly recommend visiting Mrs. Conway
It has been over two months with three bounced checks and the bank will not respond to my emails. Mr. Kennedy keeps calling me despite me asking to respond in writing. I'm still waiting to hear why the Landlord's address which Bill Pay has been sending to for years is deemed an invalid address. I sent a check for the rent there and it was received. The landlord's email verifying the address was forwarded to Mr. Kennedy. Why no response in writing? I have asked where to find the bank's policy on making accounts dormant several times, no response. I have asked why there was no notification that my account was being made dormant. I go online monthly to pay the rent. There was no notice the account was dormant ever. When I used billpay it said it was being processed as I asked.
On February 9th 2022 I received and email from my Landlord who has been trying to evict me as a rent stabilized tenant since he bought the building 20 years ago. I have been to court eight times at least including Supreme Court, the Appellate Court and the Court of Appeals in Albany. The email stated: Before we issue a 5 day rent demand, is there a reason why you stopped your payment?
When I phoned the bank Mr. Kennedy said my checking account was made dormant due to the fact I had not physically been to the bank in the last two years. I told him I did all my banking online and I am staying with a friend out of town due to the pandemic. There was no notice by mail as he said there was. Since my mail was being forwarded my friend and host where I'm staying took an Amtrak to NYC $102.00 to look in the mailbox. The only thing from NECB in the box was a 2021 tax document.
After sending him the proper ID and instructions in an email I did not receive a response in writing. Instead I received a phone call Feb 10th that my account was activated. Since then the rent check I had to re-issue for Feb, my rent check for Mar was not paid to "invalid address" according to Mr. Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy asked me to reach out to the landlord though bill pay has been using that address for years. I did and the Landlord said the address has been in use for the last 45 years. He then sent an email : Mr. Peckham: Just send us the check..regular mail or Fed Ex….not complicated.
Mr. Kennedy then told me to stop the April check which I did. When I asked why no confirmation was given to the stop he had no answer but now needs me to sign and mail back to him another document. Now I have to ask my host who is stressed to the max from his job already to help me again?
It has been almost two months and still bill pay is not working. This is inexcusable.
Bad service, called them before to ask till when they are open they said I should come before one when I came and it was still before one and they told me that it's to late...
