History Of North Middlesex Savings Bank

North Middlesex Savings Bank was established on March 5, 1885. Initially, the bank operated without Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) insurance. On September 10, 1985, it became FDIC insured and subsequently changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the FDIC. Over time, the institution underwent significant changes, culminating in a merger with Main Street Bank in Marlborough, Massachusetts, on April 1, 2017. As part of this merger, the institution changed its name to Main Street Bank.
