History Of North Central Bank
North Central Bank, originally established as Putnam County Bank on December 7, 1946, underwent several significant changes throughout its history. On December 18, 1978, the institution changed its name to Putnam County Bank and relocated its main office to Second and High Streets in Hennepin, Illinois. The bank continued to grow and expand, acquiring the Bank of Ladd in Ladd, Illinois, on November 30, 1998. Subsequently, on July 1, 1999, the institution changed its name to North Central Bank to better reflect its expanded services and regional presence. The main office was moved again on March 24, 2015, to its current location at 126 East High Street in Hennepin, Illinois, where it continues to operate today.
