History Of North American Savings Bank
North American Savings Bank, established on January 1, 1923, originally operated under the name North American Savings Association. Over the decades, the institution has undergone several name changes and regulatory shifts. On July 11, 1990, it changed its name to North American Savings Bank, and subsequently on January 28, 1992, it further adopted the name North American Savings Bank, F.S.B., while also altering its organization type to a stock savings bank and changing regulatory oversight to the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS). The bank expanded its operations through acquisitions, including Higginsville Savings and Loan Association in Higginsville, Missouri, in 1980, and Community Bank - Excelsior Springs in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, on December 19, 2002. Another notable acquisition occurred on July 13, 2016, when it acquired B&L Bank in Lexington, Missouri.
