History Of NewBridge Bank

NewBridge Bank was established on July 5, 1949, in Lexington, North Carolina, originally under the name Lexington State Bank. Over the years, the institution underwent several changes and acquisitions, such as the acquisition of Old North State Bank in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in August 1997. In November 2007, the bank changed its name to NewBridge Bank following the acquisition of FNB Southeast in Reidsville, North Carolina, and relocated its main office to Greensboro, North Carolina. Significant regulatory changes occurred in September 2014 when the bank became a state-chartered bank and joined the Federal Reserve System. In February 2015, NewBridge Bank acquired Premier Commercial Bank and moved its main office once again within Greensboro. The bank continued to expand by acquiring Security Savings Bank in October 2013 and CapStone Bank in April 2014. On March 1, 2016, it merged with Yadkin Bank in Statesville, North Carolina. Ultimately, on March 11, 2017, NewBridge Bank became part of First National Bank of Pennsylvania in Greenville, Pennsylvania, marking the end of its independent operations.
