History Of New Republic Bank
New Republic Bank is a commercial bank that was established on December 15, 1998, under the name New Republic Savings Bank. Over the years, the institution has undergone several changes including a change in its regulatory agency and organizational structure. On November 17, 2020, the bank changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), shifted its organization type to a commercial bank, and became a state-chartered bank not a member of the Federal Reserve System. It was on the same date that the institution adopted its current name, New Republic Bank. The bank's main office has also moved multiple times: from its original location in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, to Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, and finally to its current location at 521 East Morehead Street in Charlotte, North Carolina, as of April 1, 2021.
