History Of New Century Bank
New Century Bank, originally established as The Munden State Bank on May 5, 1905, has undergone several name and regulatory changes throughout its history. In 1989, the bank's main office was relocated to Main Street in Munden, Kansas. On March 15, 2000, it changed its name to National Family Bank and became a member of the Federal Reserve System, with the regulatory oversight transferred to The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Subsequently, the main office was moved to 100 Main Street, Munden, Kansas, on the same day. The bank adopted the name New Century Bank, National Association on August 15, 2005, and later relocated its main office again on August 24, 2007, to 1211 28th Street, Belleville, Kansas. On April 2, 2014, it further rebranded itself as New Century Bank, changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve, and transitioned to a state-chartered bank. The institution withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System on the same date, marking a significant shift in its regulatory status.
