Nelsonville Home and Savings

Nelsonville Home and Savings was established in 1888 as the Nelsonville Home and Savings Association. Over the years, the institution underwent several changes in its organizational structure and regulatory status. On January 28, 2003, it rebranded as Nelsonville Home and Savings, transitioned to a stock savings bank, and became supervised by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Subsequently, on January 1, 2018, the bank changed its organization type to a commercial bank and its class to a state-chartered bank, which was not a member of the Federal Reserve System. On August 11, 2023, Nelsonville Home and Savings merged with The Farmers Bank and Savings Company, located in Pomeroy, Ohio, and ceased to exist as an independent entity.
