History Of Mutual Federal Savings Bank
Mutual Federal Savings Bank was established on January 1, 1922, originally operating under the name Mutual Federal Savings and Loan Association. In 1988, the institution underwent several changes, including a rebranding to Mutual Federal Savings Bank, a Federal Stock Savings Bank, and later to Mutual Federal Savings Bank, A FSB. By August 9, 1989, the main office had moved to 121 South Ohio Avenue in Sidney, Ohio. In a significant shift on July 21, 2011, the bank changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. On October 14, 2016, Mutual Federal Savings Bank transitioned to a commercial bank, changing its name to Mfsb, National Association and became a member of the Federal Reserve System. Subsequently, on the same day, it merged with First Bank Richmond, National Association located in Richmond, Indiana, and continued operating under that new name. Finally, on April 21, 2017, the institution was officially renamed First Bank Richmond.
