Monument Bank was established on September 6, 2005, in Maryland, originally under the name Monument Bank. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes in its operational structure and location. On October 1, 2016, Monument Bank merged with Revere Bank, which is based in Laurel, Maryland. The bank continued to operate until April 1, 2020, when it merged with Sandy Spring Bank in Olney, Maryland, marking the end of its identity as a separate banking institution.
