Mobank was established on October 20, 1933, originally under the name Missouri Bank and Trust Company of Kansas City. Over the years, the bank underwent several significant changes, including a relocation of its main office to 1044 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri, on June 28, 1985. This office was further updated when, on June 1, 2003, the main office moved again to the same address with a different zip code of 64105. In a notable expansion move, Mobank acquired The State Bank of Lancaster in Lancaster, Kansas, on June 9, 2000. Ultimately, on February 17, 2017, Mobank merged with Bokf, National Association, becoming part of this larger financial institution based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
