History Of Miners Bank
Miners Bank was originally established on May 1, 1935, under the name Minersville Safe Deposit Bank and Trust Company. The institution was located in Minersville, Pennsylvania, and provided banking services to the local community. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes in its operations and location. On January 28, 1980, the Main Office moved to 129 Sunbury Street in Minersville. Subsequently, on July 7, 1983, the Main Office relocated again, this time to 437 Dowdentown Road in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. In a significant rebranding effort, the bank changed its name to Miners Bank on July 1, 2008. After two years, on October 20, 2010, the Main Office returned to 437 Dowdentown Road in Minersville. Ultimately, Miners Bank merged with Mid Penn Bank on March 1, 2015, becoming part of the larger banking institution based in Millersburg, Pennsylvania.
