History Of Millington Bank
Millington Bank was originally established on January 1, 1911, under the name Millington Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, the institution underwent several name and organizational type changes. On October 1, 1992, it became Millington Savings Bank and transitioned to a mutual savings bank. Subsequently, on March 31, 1988, the bank adopted the name Millington Savings Bank, SLA. On December 4, 2003, it changed its organization type to a stock savings bank and was designated as an FDIC-supervised state savings bank. The bank further rebranded as Millington Bank on July 17, 2015. In a significant corporate transition, Millington Bank merged with and became part of Kearny Bank, located in Kearny, New Jersey, on July 10, 2020. The main office of Millington Bank was moved to 1902 Long Hill Road, Millington, New Jersey, on July 11, 1995.
