History Of Midwest Heritage Bank
Midwest Heritage Bank, originally established as the National Bank and Trust Company of Chariton on April 1, 1930, has undergone several significant changes throughout its history. The institution initially operated as a national bank, before acquiring Firstcentral Federal Savings Bank in Chariton, Iowa, on September 7, 1990, and subsequently changing its main office location to 1025 Braden Avenue, Chariton, Iowa, on February 27, 1990. On February 9, 1995, the bank transformed its structure to a stock savings bank and withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System, while also changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS). The bank ceased its trust powers on March 21, 2000. In a further reorganization, it changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on July 21, 2011, and relocated its main office to 3580 Ep True Parkway, Suite 100, West Des Moines, Iowa, on September 29, 2008.
