HISTORY OF MERRILL FEDERAL S&L
Merrill Federal Savings and Loan Association was established on January 1, 1924. Over the years, the institution underwent several changes in its regulatory status and organizational structure. On July 21, 2011, it changed its primary federal regulatory agency to The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Subsequently, on July 7, 2014, Merrill Federal S&L transitioned to a Mutual Savings Bank. The organization continued to evolve and, on November 5, 2016, it merged with Tomahawk Community Bank S.s.b. located in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. As part of this merger, the institution changed its name to Crossbridge Community Bank on June 21, 2022.
