Mercer Savings Bank, established in 1888, has undergone several significant changes throughout its history. The bank initially operated under various organizational structures and regulatory bodies before transitioning to a state-chartered commercial bank on July 26, 2023. This change marked its status as a non-member of the Federal Reserve System. Prior to this, on July 21, 2011, Mercer Savings Bank changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
