This Bank has served me well for the past 5yrs. They are very courteous and helpful with all my needs.
I always receive great customer service when I visit the Downtown Oxnard branch of Mechanics Bank. The tellers and administrative personnel have always seemed eager to help me and to make me feel welcome.
Been with bank over 30 years buss. and personal went to office to see about getting 2023 calendar today laughed at me... Then drove to Hill Top office same thing... All i want is one colander... Back in the day this was once a great bank not so much any more... Ill start looking for another bank I guess.
The Orcutt CA Branch of Mechanics Bank under the leadership of Jenna who is the manager has proven to be the best overall bank in my experience. They have been technically accurate and have accommodated my requests without exception. The employees are well trained under Jenna and are courteous and professional in their dealings with customers and it seems me, especially. This branch has my highest recommendation and I give that out judiciously.
I was looking to take an auto loan for a car that I later purchased in full, from Salinas Honda back in April. Bridget informed me that they did not offer auto loans/re-financing. I wanted to get an auto loan to increase my credit rating, but I learned a short time later that it was above 700. I usually do not purchase anything on credit, thus the reason why my credit history is sparse. Another company offered me $12,000 in re-financing, but at that point, I decided to purchase the car in full and saving myself the future stress of making payments with interest. Monterey Credit Union declined my application because of my minimal credit history as well. I personally cannot stand the sight of Bridgette or the other bank manager that works at the Seaside Brank for obvious reasons and she specifically talks to the bank tellers as if they are across the street from her desk and not working in the same building. I'm considering taking my money over to Chase Bank and opening an account with them. It was not the first bad experience I had with this lady, but I will make sure that it will be the last. Never had a problem with the bank tellers or the manager that works above them, so I cannot say the entire staff at the branch is a problem to deal with.
Worthless, unprofessional management... Shouldn't be working there let alone in charge.
One of the worst banks I have dealt with. The website for Auto Finance has many issues of not working, not being able to log in. Changing your password will not help, even after being told it was changed successfully it will immediately tell you it is wrong when trying to log in. Wait times on the phone are constantly in excess of 15 minutes and when you do get a hold of somebody the issue is not resolved. I have left soo many voicemails in the past, I called every branch in the bank I could find and left emails too. Still... no response. When I buy another car and they tell me I can get financed through Mechanics Bank I will decline the offer. I will never use this bank again ever. And they never reach out to make it alright. They will never offer to make some sort of amends for their incompetence.
This bank drafted my auto loan payment the day after my loan was paid in full. It has been over one month and I still have not received the payment back. Customer service talks very vague and cannot seem to answer the question on when they will give my money back. At this point, I believe this bank has stolen my money and has no intention of refunding what they took.
I love the bank, the girls are so nice and friendly.
The staff at the South Chico Branch is really helpful and kind. I do wish Saturday banking would come to this bank.
Rabobank used to be great bank but now thing are different, the customer service is not the same, they changed to mecanic bank and we don't feel the change is helping to create a good relationchip with clients.
Need saturday hours
I've been to several branches throughout Ventura County and they have been great. This branch in Oxnard, on 5th Street, however is by far is the worst! Horrible customer service. Every time I've had to come in. They're not friendly at all nor do they follow through with tasks. My company needed statements urgently, and the teller Mariah took her sweet time on it knowing how urgent we needed them. Once she did receive them, she didn't bother calling me as I asked her to. I had to call a few times and check on it. Otherwise I'd still be waiting for them. When I picked them up, her awful customer service was the same way as it was over the phone. She didn't greet or apologize for the delay. When I left I still thanked her and she didn't even bother with a, "You're welcome" or "Have a good day." Please reopen the Esplanade location and close this location. The tellers need to take etiquette/customer service courses.
This bank has been more than helpful to my family. They are professional but considerate. They interact with you as a family member. They even remember your name.
We have money in both checking and savings. We cannot get into our online account. We call and call, and no answer. We were charged a $25 fee since Mechanics took over. We live out of state, and need to access our money. What is wrong with this bank?
Edit: I finally was able to connect with a local banch person, and he was very helpful.
I am going to another bank. Can not get to a log in page to check my account
On October 7,2019 at approximately 4:45, I had the worst customer service from, I assume was the manager. I could not believe the conversation that ensued and the attitude that was exhibited. At the very least, the employee needs a refresher course in customer service. This occurred at the Morro Bay California branch.
I took my son to this bank to set up a savings account. It's the closest bank to our house and I want him to start saving money. The people at the branch did not want to set up an account for us. When we got to the bank there were two tellers helping two customers and 2-3 more people working and wallking around in the back. We waited for the tellers to finish and were the only customers in the bank. I was shocked that the employees did not want to set up an account for us. The teller seemed surprised and put out by my request, told me that I'd need his ssn to set up an account, and asked if I had an account. I told him that I had the required information and didn't have an account at the branch. Most banks would have viewed this as an opportunity to not only have a long lasting relationship with a child but also the opportunity to get my business. But not this bank. No one could be bothered to help us. One of the ladies working in the back told us to come back later even though we were the only customers there.
I'm not going to bank anywhere that isn't interested in my business. We went to my bank where they were happy to serve us and would never consider telling a potential new customer to come back later. I was wearing workout clothes and apparently the tellers thought that I was poor and not worth their time. Customer service training is needed.
