History Of McKenzie County Bank

McKenzie County Bank was established on May 8, 1982, under the name The McKenzie County National Bank. In a significant change on July 1, 1993, the bank altered its name to McKenzie County Bank while simultaneously changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and withdrawing from membership in the Federal Reserve System. The bank was chartered at the state level following these changes. After over two decades of operation, McKenzie County Bank merged with Cornerstone Bank located in Fargo, North Dakota, on March 14, 2015, becoming part of that institution.
