Malvern Bank

Malvern Bank, originally established as the Malvern Federal Savings and Loan Association in 1887, underwent several transformations throughout its history. On December 31, 1990, the institution changed its name to Malvern Federal Savings Bank and transitioned to a mutual savings bank. In 2008, it converted to a stock savings bank. A significant change occurred on February 12, 2018, when the bank rebranded as Malvern Bank N.A., became a commercial bank, and joined the Federal Reserve System as a national bank. On July 21, 2011, the primary federal regulatory agency for the bank was switched to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. After more than a century in operation, Malvern Bank merged with First Bank based in Hamilton, New Jersey, on July 17, 2023. Throughout its existence, Malvern Bank operated primarily from its main office located at 42 East Lancaster Avenue in Paoli, Pennsylvania.
