History Of Main Street Bank
Main Street Bank, originally established as Marlborough Savings Bank on April 3, 1860, is a financial institution located in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The bank became FDIC insured on November 15, 1985, and underwent a significant name change to Marlborough Savings Bank on September 27, 1971. The main office moved to 164-166 Main Street in Marlborough on April 26, 1977, and later relocated to 81 Granger Boulevard on September 13, 2010. In 2006, the bank changed its trust powers to limited and transitioned to a stock savings bank on February 21, 2007. On April 1, 2017, the institution changed its name to Main Street Bank and acquired North Middlesex Savings Bank based in Ayer, Massachusetts, on the same date.
