Madison Valley Bank, originally established as First Madison Valley Bank on June 21, 1965, began operations without Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) insurance. On January 13, 1966, the institution became FDIC insured and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the FDIC. The bank underwent significant changes over the following decades, including a relocation of its main office to 213 East Main Street in Ennis, Montana, on December 18, 2006.
