Luzerne Bank, originally established as The Luzerne National Bank on January 1, 1907, has undergone several significant changes throughout its history. In its early years, the institution was granted trust powers. On December 14, 2006, the bank restructured its operations, changing its name to The Luzerne Bank, switching its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve System, and being designated as a state-chartered bank that was a member of the Federal Reserve System.
