Longview Bank and Trust was established on August 11, 1891, originally under the name State Bank of Chrisman in Chrisman, Illinois. Throughout its history, the institution underwent several significant changes, including a rebranding in January 2017 when it changed its name to Longview Bank and Trust following the acquisition of First National Bank in Georgetown, Illinois. In July 2018, the bank relocated its main office to 121 South Pennsylvania Street in Chrisman. Ultimately, on August 28, 2023, Longview Bank and Trust merged with and became part of Longview Bank, located in Ogden, Illinois, marking the conclusion of its independent operations.
