Originally established on March 9, 1999, as Mission National Bank, the institution underwent a significant transformation on June 1, 2003, when it changed its name to Lone Star Capital Bank and simultaneously acquired Clear Lake National Bank, also located in San Antonio. On the same day, the bank relocated its main office to 150 North Loop 1604 East in San Antonio. Prior to this, on June 5, 2000, the bank's main office had been based at 420 North Weidner in San Antonio.
