History Of Logansport Savings Bank
Logansport Savings Bank, originally established as The Logansport Savings and Loan Association on January 1, 1925, has undergone several significant changes throughout its history. In December 1992, the institution changed its name to Logansport Savings Bank, FSB, and transitioned from a mutual savings bank to a stock savings bank. By June 30, 2014, it changed its organization type to a commercial bank, restructured its chartering agency to the state level, and became a state-chartered bank not affiliated with the Federal Reserve System. It also switched its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Prior to this, from July 21, 2011, it was regulated by The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. On July 15, 2016, the bank further simplified its name to Logansport Savings Bank. Most recently, on August 29, 2017, it adjusted its trust powers to a limited capacity.
