History Of Llewellyn-Edison Savings Bank
Llewellyn-Edison Savings Bank was established on January 1, 1912, under the name Llewellyn-Edison Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, the institution underwent several name and regulatory changes. On September 30, 1989, it changed its name to Llewellyn-Edison Savings Bank, S.L.A. The bank's regulatory oversight changed again on July 21, 2011, when it became regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. On October 2, 2015, Llewellyn-Edison Savings Bank merged with Glen Rock Savings Bank, located in Glen Rock, New Jersey. Finally, on October 25, 2021, the institution changed its name to Ascendia Bank.
