History Of Limestone Bank
Limestone Bank, Inc. is a financial institution with a history dating back to its establishment on March 24, 1902, originally named The Peoples Bank. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes and expansions through acquisitions. In 1973, it changed its name to The Peoples Bank & Trust Company and subsequently gained full trust powers. A significant name change occurred in December 2001 when it became The Central Bank USA, Inc. It further rebranded as Pbi Bank, Inc. in January 2006. This period marked a series of acquisitions, including Brownsville Deposit Bank in Brownsville, Kentucky, Ascencia Bank in Louisville, Kentucky, and Bullitt County Bank in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. On October 1, 2007, the bank acquired Kentucky Trust Bank based in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. In early 2018, the institution completed its rebranding to Limestone Bank, Inc. The bank's main office moved to 2500 Eastpoint Parkway in Louisville, Kentucky, in April 2006. Throughout its history, Limestone Bank has adjusted its regulatory affiliations, including withdrawing from the Federal Reserve System and changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the FDIC in January 1998.

DO NOT USE THIS BANK.
Limestone bank requires an in person signature in order to complete a wire transfer. My mom (82 years old) sold her property in KY and is purchasing a home near family in MO. The purpose of a wire transfer is to create a safe, convenient process to move funds from one account to another. Coming into the bank to sign a document to approve a wire transfer makes no sense. Limestone has no approved electronic signature process either. Im going to see if they have access to a stage coach.
