Liberty Savings Bank was established on January 1, 1926, originally operating under the name Liberty Savings Association. In 1988, it underwent a name change to Liberty Savings Association, F.A., and subsequently changed its chartering agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS). On September 25, 1997, the institution adopted the name Liberty Savings Bank, F.S.B.
