Liberty Savings Bank

Liberty Savings Bank was established on January 1, 1926, originally operating under the name Liberty Savings Association. In 1988, it underwent a name change to Liberty Savings Association, F.A., and subsequently changed its chartering agency to the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS). On September 25, 1997, the institution adopted the name Liberty Savings Bank, F.S.B. In a regulatory shift on July 21, 2011, it changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. On July 1, 2015, Liberty Savings Bank merged with Peoples Bank SB, located in Munster, Indiana. Following the merger, on May 22, 2020, its institution name was officially changed to Peoples Bank.
