History Of Liberty Bank
Liberty Bank was established on October 9, 1990, originally named Liberty State Bank. On February 1, 1997, the institution changed its name to Liberty Bank, National Association, and simultaneously transitioned its primary federal regulatory agency and chartering agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. On that same date, Liberty Bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System. The bank operated under this name and structure until it merged with The Middlefield Banking Company, based in Middlefield, Ohio, on January 13, 2017, at which point it ceased to exist as a separate entity.
