History Of LegacyTexas Bank

LegacyTexas Bank was established on January 1, 2006, originally under the name ViewPoint Bank. The institution transitioned from a Stock Savings Bank to a commercial bank on December 19, 2011, and changed its name to ViewPoint Bank, National Association, when it also became a member of the Federal Reserve System. In subsequent years, LegacyTexas Bank underwent several significant changes, including the acquisition of The First National Bank of Jacksboro in April 2012, and a series of relocations of its main office, with the most notable move occurring on November 30, 2018, to 5851 Legacy Drive in Plano, Texas. On January 1, 2015, the bank changed its name to LegacyTexas Bank and became a State Chartered Bank, while remaining a member of the Federal Reserve System. Following this, LegacyTexas Bank continued to grow and expand until it merged with Prosperity Bank in El Campo, Texas, on November 1, 2019.
