History Of Legacy Bank
Legacy Bank is a financial institution that has undergone several name changes and regulatory adjustments since its establishment. Originally founded as The First National Bank of Binger in 1902, the bank became Binger Community Bank in 1965 when it withdrew from the Federal Reserve System and transitioned to being a state-chartered bank under the supervision of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Over the years, it adopted several names, including The Community Bank in 1983 and First Community Bank in 1990, the latter occurring after acquiring American National Bank in Elk City, Oklahoma. In 1997, it changed its name to Legacy Bank Acb, which was later simplified to Legacy Bank in 2000 following additional acquisitions of branches in Blanchard and Hinton, Oklahoma.
